One of my favorite things about photo sessions is talking to the senior about their Senior Session Fashion Choices. It is so much fun! I like to work with each client individually to make sure they pick the right clothing. Prior to our session, I will send you look boards on Pinterest if you need ideas, and we will chat about your style and what you want to portray in your portraits. Do you want to have some casual and some dressed up? Do you want an “editorial” style and pick an outfit or two that is high fashion? Do you want photos in your sports uniform?
I suggest 4 outfits in a session so we can get a variety of looks. One of the things that is helpful is if you text me some of your fashion choices to me before the session so I can visualize what you will be wearing. Then, I will have you bring even more outfit choices to the session. Before we start any of the photography we will go through your clothing to see what is appropriate with our different setting choices. I will ask you to bring accessories and different shoe options as well. I like to showcase a wide variety and by having a few outfit changes, it will make your photo albums much more interesting.
For example, in these photos, Kelly had a few more outfits in her car when she showed up for the session. When she arrived, we took a look at all of them and figures out which would look good on the gold chair and in the wildflowers. She had new accessories and shoes for each outfit so that gave us a lot of variety in the two-hour shoot. Planning is the key to a successful photo shoot. I will help plan the locations and I ask that you help plan the wardrobe with my consultation. It is part of the senior experience and who doesn’t love picking out clothes? I love it!
